When I am adding a book to my libarary, sometimes I find that the listing for another edition is in a lot of collections but my edition isn't.

A book that is very popular in Australia for example isn't necessarily popular or well known in the US. But if my edition is the US edition it means that the other listing might have dozens if not hundreds of recipe reviews. Whereas the editon I own might not have any.

In the past I have made the decision to add both editions to my collection so if I am doing a search on recipe reviews in that book I see all the reviews under all the editions, but that throws my collection size off and also throws up multiple results in my searches. It is also difficult to adopt this measure in the long run, as other editions often have different release dates, and so I don't know when there is another one added.

I dont know if it is possible or not or even desirable (I am sure there are complications to this that I am not aware of), but could recipe reviews be added to all editions of the same book regardless of edition?

I know the page numbers may be different (and this may be why it isn't possible) and also the ingredient names across editions differ etc If this is not possible, I guess the only thing to do is add all editions to my library unless I just do a search for other editions every time I want to check for reviews (I do sometimes do that too) The recipe reviews are SO helpful!

Wonder if other users are adding multiple editions to their library too for this reason, or is it just me?

We don't index the editions separately but index the most popular edition and then link all the other editions to it. The data then for the indexed edition is shared with the others - the recipe index, ratings, notes and photos. So you should add the edition you own to your Bookshelf and you will see everything added from any edition. If you have an example of where you could not see the member notes in your edition, please do email it to us so we can investigate further.
