A few minutes ago I reported two broken links. Interesting that there was no facility to suggest a replacement. I was looking for recipes by Raymond Blanc https://www.eatyourbooks...c%20chicken%20fricassee. Both the broken links are for pretty much the exact same recipe.I know there is an online version of this recipe because I have used it. https://www.raymondblanc...-with-vinegar-and-herbs/ For no good reason I thought that the broken link pop-up might allow for an alternative but it does not.

Nikki, who deals with all the broken link reports, does search and replace any broken link for which she can find a working link. Our developers are working on an enhancement to the reporting form that will allow members to suggest a replacement.

Will this also allow members to add a link when there isn't one listed, but a quick search on the internet immediately shows there is one? I'm lazy and can't be bothered searching for (for example) the October 2017 issue of a magazine, and will always look online even if EYB suggests there is no online version.

Sorry, we cannot allow members to add recipe links as it is an invitation for spammers to innundate the site with links to dubious sites. We used to allow members to add links on their Profile page to their own blogs if they had one. As soon as spammers discovered that option they created hundreds of fake accounts with links. Members do email us with links they find and we add it.
