Not sure if this is the right part of the forum to be asking this question, or not.

I've just been trying to find a chicken main course specifically for 2 from my cookery books.  I found several possibilities, but then I realised that none of them had come from the new Nigel Slater Eat book.  That seemed strange as I was sure that, quite unusually, most of the recipes in that book are actually for 1 or 2 servings.  So I searched within that book and found that none of the recipes have been tagged with 'Cooking for 1 or 2'.  Is there a reason for this or is it an oversight?

Hi Susan-F : I know nothing of Nigel Slater's Eat, but  if you find an error that can be reported more efficiently using the "report an error" button at the very bottom of the screen at the right hand side (as you look at the screen!).

Susan_F, this does sound like an oversight on the indexer's part; thanks for bringing it to our attention.   I don't own this book, but there is a Look Inside/preview of the ebook on amazon.co.uk; part of the problem might be that, since many of the recipes are free-form/narrative in nature, Nigel doesn't often give precise measurements or quantities, so it can be difficult to determine exactly how many the recipe will serve.  I've asked the original indexer to revisit these recipes and index Cooking for 1 or 2 wherever it's directly indicated or clearly implied that the recipe serves 1 or 2 persons.

In future, you can use the "Report an Error" link that appears at the bottom of every EYB page, or just email me directly at [email protected].

Thanks Deborah, normally when I've found errors in individual recipes I have used the contact form, but this time I wasn't sure of the procedure when I was asking about the whole book.  I've had a quick check and it looks like all of the recipes on the left hand pages are more like chatty ideas than very specific recipes, but the recipes on right hand pages do all give servings and many of these are for 1 or 2. Hope that helps.

These recipes have all been fixed now.  Thanks, Susan_F!

Thanks very much - and a huge thank you too, to the indexer.  It must have been a horrible book to index - not least for the fact that it won't stay open!
