It would be sooo nice to have a button, like Pinterst does, that takes you to EYB with a pre-filled recipe. Your bookmarklet is just about useless; I have not seen it pick the ingredient list or even the procedure even once. I do understand this means the websites need to allow your button on their content...

I don't use Pinterest, so I'm not sure what you're referring to.  However, I have used the EYB bookmarklet dozens of times to enter recipes and it's always been successful, so it's hardly useless.  

Since our Bookmarklet is a tool that allows you to index online recipes, you do need to enter the data yourself when you use it. It is then proofread and approved by EYB to ensure the data entered is accurate. As with all indexing on EYB by pro- and member-indexers, it is a manual process.

You may not have encountered it before, but if you happen to use the Bookmarklet on a URL that we already have an identical match for in the EYB Library, the fully indexed recipe will pop up instead of the indexing form and you can add it to your Bookshelf without any further work. If you'd like to see an example, follow the link below and then click on the Bookmarklet -- the EYB entry should appear with the blue +Bookshelf button:

Also, I should note that EYB does not have procedures or directions for any of the recipes as that would violate copyright. We record ingredients and categories to make the recipes searchable in our database, but you'll always need to refer to the source material -- whether that be a cookbook, magazine, or online link -- for amounts, directions, etc. to make the recipe.
