I think it would be most helpful to have a second bookshelf for my ecookbooks.  At this point, they outnumber my print copies, but I don't have them on my bookshelf because I don't want to combine the two libraries.  Any plans on offering this anytime soon?  Seems like it would be a fairly easy thing to do?

That is a great idea, but I'd prefer to have the additional bookshelf.  Since I have over 500 ebooks, I don't want to have to add the book, then go find it on my bookshelf and bookmark it.  I'm hoping for a one-step process :-)

Do you just want to be able to access the ebooks on your Bookshelf separately from your print books, or do you want to be able to separately search your Bookshelf for ebook recipes? If the former, you already have that capability by using the new Only Show/eBooks filter.

By the way, if we've indexed a cookbook title you own as an ebook, we will have linked the ebook to the print "master"/indexed version, so you'd be able to search those indexed recipes once you add the ebook to your Bookshelf. (We don't designate ebooks as master editions in the EYB Library unless that is the only version in which the title has been published.)

This is an interesting thread. I much prefer to handle a physical cookbook, but I have a couple of ebooks on my Kindle - cheap, instant and space saving. I think we are facing a digital future for newspapers already, (look how photography went digital in a rush) and books will inevitably follow. £20/£30 for a new book printed in China  is to me pretty expensive, so I wait to buy them cheap from A*a*o*; we don't have much in the way of bookshops around where I live, so I don't feel too guilty on that count. It's up to HMRC to close the tax loopholes which they exploit,  which would be my other concern.

RaySadler, I also prefer to use the print version of a cookbook.  But, I'm out of library space for my books and the Kindle carries so much in such a small space!  Also, the price of the books is so much cheaper.  I have heard that electronic book purchase through Amazon does not give you permanent ownership of the book.  I have not researched this to find out the details, or if it is true.  If that is the case, then theoretically Amazon could take all of those books away.  It would be interesting to know if anyone else has heard of this or knows about it.  I had ebooks on my computer that were not purchased from Amazon and with the most recent software update for the Kindle, the free Kindle app on my computer will no longer recognize these books.  I really don't like that.  It's too bad there isn't some kind of reading device or app that isn't proprietary.  Maybe there is one that I am unaware of.  I think there was one called Caliber.  I need to see if it still exists and make a permanent backup of my ebooks, although I can't see Amazon going anywhere but up.

Can you add another filter to the book section of my bookshelf?  I am still struggling with trying to separate my ebooks from my print books.  Yes, I can separate the ebooks by using the filter, but I can't get it to show only my print books if I mix those ebooks in.  I want to be able to see only my print books as well as only my ebooks.  I think an additional filter should do it.  I can't select all three print book options at one time - indexed, unindexed and indexing.  Is this possible?  Alternatively, I still like the idea of an additional bookshelf, but I think the additional filter would be much simpler.
