Hi - firstly - great service - and one I happily paid money for. Love to see more UK books and less obscure US (or what I imagine are obscure - they don't seem to be on that many bookshelves) books. UK example - the Rachel Allen books - they are hugely popular here - and would be great to have them indexed. And any progress on users being able to index books? Thanks again for the service - very smart idea.

Sometimes books seem less popular than they really are because they have numerous editions with separate ISBN numbers.  People own the various editions, so depending on the ISBN number they use that determines how many people are shown owning the book.  However, EYB tries to link all those numbers and editions together when they index, so the books may actually be more popular than any single entry indicates.

Welcome to EYB Cvryan.  We only launched in the UK in April so we have a lot of catching up to do on indexing.  We will definitely be indexing all of Rachel Allen's books - 3 are done already and 3 more are in our indexing queue.  As more British members join you will see more British books getting indexed - 3 out of the last 7 indexed are British.

Our developers are working now on a simplified indexing system for member volunteers.  Our pilot program showed that our current system, that we use with profressional indexers, was over-complicated for members.  So we are working to make it much more straightforward.  It should be completed in 4-6 weeks.
