We definitely plan to add more social networking features in the future. At the moment, all our development resources are focused on expanding our membership. We think we have a great service, and our many happy members seem to agree, but unfortunately not enough cookbook lovers in the world know about Eat Your Books. We want to index many more cookbooks, magazines and blogs and add lots of new features, but we do need revenue from members to make this happen. So anything members can do to help spread the word is appreciated:
- Tell all your friends and family who love to cook
- Buy gift memberships for birthdays and Christmas
- Contact the food pages of your local newspaper to tell them about EYB
- Post on Facebook and Twitter - like, comment on and retweet our posts and images
- Pin images from EYB on Pinterest
- Post about EYB on forums and blogs - if ever you see a discussion on recipe searches, indexing systems, etc add a comment telling people about EYB
All of these really help to increase our visibility. If each member recruited a few new members it would make a huge difference.
