My current wish list:

1. I'm now putting my books without ISBN numbers, and those with ISBN numbers that aren't in the EYB database, on an EXCEL spreadsheet (since I can't yet put them all in EYB). It would be nice to be able to put all my books in the same spreadsheet, and so I'm wishing for an export function on EYB of books on my bookshelf.

2. I have some questions I'll be posting shortly about ISBN numbers. I didn't want to duplicate prior questions, so looked for someplace to search the forum to see if my issues had been previously addressed. I couldn't find a seach function. If it isn't there (in other words, I'm not discounting me being blind), a search function for the forum would be a good idea, particularly as the number of EYB members grows.

Thanks!

Laurie

tasteslike - thanks for your feedback, it always helps us to know what features members are waiting for.

We do plan to add a feature so members can add books to the EYB Library if they do not have an ISBN.  For now you can import all books you own with an ISBN that are not in the Library, using the Import Books feature.  When we add the book to the Library it will automatically be added to your Bookshelf.  We also plan to add an export feature so you can extract the information about your Bookshelf.

And finally, also on our to-do list is a search feature for the Forum.

I had input ISBN #s for books that weren't in the database last year & have noticed that many of them are now in the database. Is there some way we could get an automated email notification telling us the book has been added? I ask because it would then allow me to put bookmarks on it, in particular, where the book is. As I have many cookbooks, I have them sorted by what bookcase, room, shelf, so I can find them....thx!

We can't do that at the moment but an easy way to check what has been added is to sort your Bookshelf by 'Date Added to the Library'.  You will then see everything that you own that has been added recently.
