How to differentiate books about German cuisine and those written in German?   Go to last post Go to last unread

I want to search for (Library) books about German cuisine specifically Cookies/Biscuits but not for books written in German.


Filtering by Book Types > Baking > Cookies / biscuits and then Browse by Cuisines > German returns seven books but two are in German, which is a language I do not know.


Filtering by Book Types > Baking > Cookies / biscuits and then by Country > Europe > Germany returns the same seven books.


It looks as if language cannot be used as a search criteria (in this specific example as a NOT condition).

A search by cooking Ethnicity German and Cookies/biscuits shows 7 books:

These books are not all published in Germany. or have been published in the German language. A search for Cookie books published in Germany (Country: Germany in filters) shows 4 results:
https://www.eatyourbooks...cat=Cookies+%2f+biscuits


Language is not a search criteria though country of publication is, which usually correlates to language.
