I have a handy little book called "Where's that Recipe" where I have been keeping track of my favourite recipes by category. It has been a useful way for me to remember which of my multitude of cookbooks that great recipe was in when I want to make it again.

So now that I have access to the even more brilliant Eat Your Books, I thought it would be much better to tag them on the website and I have started to do so. But quickly realised how much of a chore this could be with some of my larger cookbooks. The process of searching for a particular recipe in a particular cookbook when you know the name of the recipe, or at least you have an idea of the name could be made much easier.

Once your book is located in My Bookshelf, you have a choice of the order in which the recipes within are listed. But it would be great to have a search box, or at the very least, a clickable Table of Contents page.

For example, I want to tag Hummus from my Cooks Illustrated Best Recipe cookbook. That book is over 1000 pages long, with at least that many recipes within. Searching alphabetically, I had to scan 20 pages before I found the recipe to bookmark. It would be so much easier if i had a search box to enter the name fo the recipe, ingredients, course, anything to get me there faster.

Thanks,

Susan

Susan.
When you locate your book on the bookshelf,if you highlight the name of the book, then a list of the recipes appear and on the top of them it says search this book for a recipe. So when you press that another search box comes up and you type in say "hummus" after the name of book in search box and you should find it easily and can then bookmark.

Thank you! Now I just feel silly for not figuring that out for myself!
