I'm getting different numbers about how many books I have (or have added to my bookshelf as I buy them).  Most places, I see my nickname followed by about 438 or so.  When I check to see which other members have some of my books (like those specific Western US books like Sunset), my number rises to about 735 or so (which I really feel is more true).  How come 2 different totals?

When you see that higher number, it should be because it is listing the total number of items on your bookshelf which includes books, magazines, and blogs. If that is the case, your total would be 783 -- is that the number you are seeing? The lower number which appears on your profile would then be strictly the number of cookbooks with your magazines and blogs listed with their own numbers underneath.
