From today we are adding in sites that we think you'll enjoy using - such as Simply Recipes and Food52.   This means that you can add a blog to your Bookshelf and the recipes become part of your recipe search.  You'll see recipes being added to the blogs that are up and new blogs appearing over the next few days and weeks.

You may have noticed a few changes to search pages today.  To make it easier to organize your Bookshelf there are now 2 new tabs, Magazines and Blogs.  Go to Library and select either of these tabs to add the latest indexed magazines and blogs.

We've been adding more online links to recipes, from cookbooks and magazines, that have been officially posted online - as well as the blog recipes.  There is a new filter so you can search just for recipes that are available online.  As always we'd love to know what you think of these latest changes.

I think the link to survey isn't working.

vickster - The survey went up a bit too quickly last night and will be better designed today. After you type in the blog details, click Done which is over on the right, not under the text box where it should be. Then you should see an acknowledgment from Survey Monkey, which on my screen was half cut off. If you aren't seeing any of that, can you let us know what browser you use as it is possible that some browsers may have issues with the design.

What a brilliant idea!  I can't wait to see what other blogs you add.  I often go to foodblogsearch.com to find recipes, but this will make it so much better since I can target only the blogs I want/like.  Thank you!

Maybe you can add the link here? I selected "there is a link on Community Page." It takes me below the IACP winners to the words "Quick Survey" but there is no link.

There is a text box below the survey where you enter the name of the blog, click Done and the blog name comes through to us.  We have received hundreds of blog names today so we know it's working.  If you still cannot see it can you let us know what browser you use so we can try to replicate what you are seeing?

jlg84 - Great list - all on our to-do list.  Unfortunately it's not just a question of lifting the data from their sites as we need to categorize the recipes too so they are searchable in the same way that your cookbook and food magazine recipes are.  So I hope everyone will understand that the blogs may take a while to get up.  But more recipes will be added every day (and we are also still indexing cookbooks and magazines).

It seems there is a glitch on the survey that is affecting some versions of Safari.  We are not getting much help from the survey company we use as to why this is happening but we are trying to fix it.  In the meantime, if you cannot see the survey text box, please post here or you can wait until it is fixed as the survey is going to be up for a few weeks.

That probably explains my problem as I am using Safari.

I am very excited about this option and think it really helps out a lot - especially when you don't have many of my books indexed it gives me other options.  Thanks!!!
