Would it be useful to have a forum for notifying of new indexing terms, clarification of ingredients, somewhere where suggestions for adding terms could be raised.  I put comments in the Indexer Notes but usually don't get any feedback until I have completed indexing a book and it has been checked.  By the time your moderator comes back to me it's often a long time from when I put the note on and the term and the book and my thoughts at the time have passed into distant memory.   Just a thought.

Thanks.

I'd love that. I'm a daily user that posts recipes. I'd love to know how EYB has encoded an ingredient.

A forum topic/area devoted to EYB indexing sounds like it could be helpful. What specifically would you want it to cover? What do you mean by "new indexing terms" -- is it ingredients? If so, I'm not sure it would be practical or useful for us to post all the new ingredients we add to the Ingredients database. In May 2019 alone, we've created about 350 new ingredients (including name and spelling variations to existing ingredients), and there are almost 45,000 Ingredient entries in total! And keep in mind that we don't add new ingredients unless and until they're required for a recipe.

Other members who index, feel free to weigh in about what you'd like to see in an Indexing-related Forum topic, and remember that you can always email me directly at [email protected] if you have specific questions while indexing.

I like this idea also. Will have to think about what I would want to see.
