My local curry house does a lovely mixed veg curry called Shobji Bihar that I would dearly like to copy.
I've tried, but I can't get it right.
Searching the WWW, all I can find is a dryish curry similar to a niramish, but their's was a saucy dish.
Any ideas, please?

Shobji means vegetables in Bengali/Bangla (the language of Bangladesh). You may have more luck finding recipes with Sabji which is Hindi for vegetables. Bihar is a region in north-west India so it would seem to suggest Vegetables cooked in a Bihari style which is a pretty-wide description.

There are 19 Bihari recipes in the Library and a few of them are vegetable. I think it is unlikely you will find an exact replica of your curry house dish unless they will share the recipe with you.

Thanks very much Jane.  The staff are all Bangladeshi, so I'll try the alternative spelling, & check out the recipes on site.
Last time I asked for a recipe I got a very funny story about a great grandmother gathering secret herbs from near her outside loo!!

After a long hard week that made me chuckle! Who hasn't enquired about a recipe only to get a similar answer.
