Hi there,

I read your post and then immediately coincidentally was looking at this book. https://www.eatyourbooks...-market-cookbook-recipes

While Cornwall isn't near the Borough Market it does have fabulous produce. I'm in Australia, but have all my cousins in Cornwall. Why not go on an adventure with a new book in a new environment. Unfamlliar but delicious produce from the UK.

I will second Nigella’s ‘How to Eat’ because it’s so all encompassing. I would also suggest you join the local public library. My UK library membership also allows access to a range of online magazines which includes most of the major UK food mags both current and previous editions for free, as well as being able to reserve and borrow printed cookbooks.

I would suggest a cook book that is good reading, such as anything by Julia Child’s or James Beard. While you are there, look for Elizabeth David’s books in the used bookstores. They are all classics.
