I just noticed that a couple of books I have (although I can't seem to find out when I posted that I do have them) have been 'member indexed.'

If a book is member indexed, does that mean that it will have less likelihood of being indexed by the EYB persons?

Member indexing _is_ indexing; it's done with the same process and guidelines as EYB staff uses.  EYB staff review the member's indexing, and once they release it, it's another indexed book.

Hi Rella - there is already a discussion thread called Member indexing.  So I have renamed this one Member Indexed Books.

Why would you want a book to be EYB indexed once it has been member indexed?  We are proofreading and correcting all the member indexed books so the quality should be just as good.  Also, the books we are assigning to members are not the books on our indexing chart to be indexed by our professional indexers, so it would be a long time (if ever) before they would be indexed by EYB.
