So, a few days ago I tried to add Louise Pickford's The Noodle Bowl to my shelf.  No such title existed, though I was excited to see that  Oodles of Noodles was there, and indexed and I verified was an older version of my book.  Joy! I tried with the isbn and EYB replied that no such ISBN was listed, but it would try.  So, this morning, I looked for the book by name and did not get it returned.  Gathering my courage up in both my hands, I tried adding a book. 

First off, this was way easier than I thought and I will be adding more of my books.  However, like. many first tries, I have a problem that needs resolving.

I put in everything I knew and was told I had successfully added the book.  I again searched by name, in all books, and it didn't show up.  I thought maybe it took a while, so I went back to adding a book to my shelf via ISBN and low and behold, it had already been added, and linked to Oodles of Noodles (good job!).  But now it is there twice, with my version having no cover

So, is it possible for you to delete that version with no cover? Hopefully I will have learned from my mistakes and won't duplicate things again.

When you imported The Noodle Bowl it was added to the Library and your Bookshelf. We also linked it to Oodles of Noodles and changed the title to Oodles of Noodles / The Noodle Bowl. It was on your Bookshelf - did you search there before adding it again? If you ever cannot find a book searching by ISBN, the best first step is to use Import Books. If the book is already in the Library but "hidden" because it is linked to a different indexed edition, it will get added to your Bookshelf immediately. Or in this case you would see a message that it is already on your Bookshelf.

I didn't go to my bookshelf, just searched the library in general, by the name Noodle Bowl.  Of course, Oodles came up, but I had looked at it two days before and "knew" it wasn't what I was looking for.  Since the title didn't show up in the general library, I didn't dig any deeper. 

Anyway, I will come at things differently next time.  I am most concerned that I have needlessly cluttered the database.  It is very brave of you to let all of us into your data!!
