Can anyone recommend a Meal Planning app which can be integrated with EatYourBooks? All the ones I've found tend to centre around recommending recipes for you. What I really need is something where I can keep a record of the groceries I have and which will help me plan my meals for the week with recipes from my Bookshelf by preference. Any ideas?

One idea is to use Bookmarks here for meal planning. You would create Bookmarks for days of the week then assign the recipes you pick to them. Click the blue button Shopping list for those recipes. The top of the shopping list will list the recipes you chose. The only thing missing is a record of the groceries you already have - though presumably you are also searching for recipes using those?

I was searching for something similar recently, as I usually plan my meals around what ingredients I already have in, rather than planning first then shopping. A long time ago I used Allrecipes dinner spinner, where you could enter your ingredients and it would return a list of recipes you could make (sorted by how good a match it is, ie a recipe using all your ingredients will appear at the top). However it used its own recipe database, which I didn't find that appealing.

It would be cool if EYB could implement this feature of searching by a list of ingredients and returning your bookshelf recipes that contain at least one of those ingredients, sorted by most to least. I know we could search using the OR boolean function but I don't think it's possible to sort the results this way, and a dedicated feature would make it more intuitive.

After more than 10 years with EYB, I am still learning about features (shopping list) I didn't know existed.  For a computer-type question, is there a way to change the font in notes to myself in my new Weekly Meal Planner bookmark?  I'd like to make personal notes that indicate stuff to use, but some things need more attention than others.  Case in point: I am planning on Shrimp Fried Rice.  What I'd like is to emphasize the PINEAPPLE ingredient which needs to be used ASAP.

Can I italicise or Bold it?

Sorry, Notes don't have font options. I can ask our developers how easy that would be to add. In the meantime, maybe use CAPS as you did here?

You might be able to create someting custom for your own purposes using Notion. They have some templates and lots of videos available of people creating templates for notion.  It is a free service.  I have played around with it a little but I haven't spent the time to create exactly what I would like there.  I have found the same thing, most menu planning apps are concerned with their own recipes.
