Just been skimming through some Kindle cookbooks for some supper inspiration and found that one thing that really annoys me is the constant translations whenever a word or measure is used ie Courgette (Zucchini), frying pan (Skillet). It can even happen multiple times for the same word in the same recipe. In physical books it's still annoying but slightly forgivable. With the hyper-regionalisation (aka publisher price gouging) of ebooks why can't A.I just regionalise the book in terms of ingredients, weights & measures?

Anyway thats my little rant for the day! :)

I don't trust AI to do that. Having made use of ChatGPT to create some code for doing a task in the R statistical package the responses have been half-baked at best or clearly wrong from the start.

As to the specific translation of skillet as "frying pan" that isn't accurate here in the UK where a skillet is a cast cast iron pan, typically with ridges, or a "place mat" for hot pans whereas a frying pan is a much lighter pan.
