Hello Jane & Fiona,


 


Perhaps I'm alone with this issue but for the past few days each time I come to EYB I'm having to log in.  I am checking the "keep me logged in" box but to no avail.  I'm using a Macbook w Safari if that helps at all.

I thought it was just me...


I'm been having the same problem when accessing the site through my iPhone. I don't think it is affecting my access through Internet Explorer though.  It's only become an issue over the last few days.

We did have a new release of the site on Monday which introduced expanded features for Free members - unlimited listing of online recipes by adding blogs/websites, adding online recipes from the Library and adding recipes using the Bookmarklet.  In addition we have added advertising for Free members and anyone not signed-in.


I thought that maybe the advertising feature required a sign-in but I haven't needed to sign-in myself.  I se Chrome so I am wondering whether there is an issue with just IE and Safari.  Have any other members had this issue and what browser do you use?  It helps if I can go back to our developers with specifics on which browsers are experiencing the issue.

Having the same issue, using an iPad with Safari.

I just tested it with both Internet Explorer and Chrome and had to login again with both even though I have always checked the box to "Remember me on this computer."  I occasionally run into it too with Safari on my IPAD but thought this was just Safari changing things up periodically because they bump me out of Netflix every so often too and I have to relog in there, even when I was just on the Netflix site minutes before.  I have always thought it had something to do with the browsers and their updating where they seem to drop the login information for just about everything I have about once a month.

I am having the same log-in issue using Safari, but with every website I log into, not just Eat Your Books.

Strangely enough, my issues with being logged out daily appear to have stopped. Perhaps it was just a temporary issue related to those changes Jane?

It sounds like it is more likely to be a browser issue rather than an EYB issue.  But please do let us know if it happens again and we can investigate further.

For the past few days I have had to login to EYB again every time I turn on my IPad with Safari. I have been testing it daily on my desktop computer using Chrome but have not had a problem and have been logged in there for months with no problem whether or not the computer is turned off and then later turned on again. But with Safari even though I always check the box asking the program to remember me and keep me logged in if I turn the IPad off I have to log in a second time. I am not having this problem with any other sites that require a password on Safari. At least I am getting much faster at putting the password in but I am beginning to think I should make it simpler if I am going to login once or twice every day. Has anyone else been having issues with safari?

I've been having the same issue, on Chrome for Ubuntu.
