I've noticed recently that people are starting to include the book page number at the start of their recipe notes.  I think this is a great idea and hope more people follow this trend.  (Although it may cause problems if we ever do get notes from different editions of a book included with each version).

I second this.  I've made it a practice from the beginning to start any Note with the page number, if the recipe is from a book.  I find it very helpful when others do so as well -- if a recipe sounds interesting there's no need to go digging through the index to find it if the Note's author has included the page number.
