Hi everyone, I have just purchased a Kenwood food processor and want to purchase a book to help me get the most of it.  General family cooking and baking - nothing too fancy.  anyone have any recommendations?  I am based in Australia but willing to purchase from overseas if needed as I can convert the recipes.  thanks for your help.  Louise

Hi

I am in UK and have a Kenwood too. I have Recipes for the Kenwood Chef and Major - Jennie Shapter and the complete Chef and Major Cookbook - Sophie Buchmann.  You can locate on abebooks. If you get the UK editions everything is in metric which would probably suit you better. Also I have the ultimate mixer book by rosemary moon which is suitable for any stand mixer

Thanks for the recommendations vintagepaint.  I will look into both books now and get ordering!

A fine book is THE NEW FOOD PROCESSOR BIBLE by Norene Gilletz. I have a new Cuisinart three bowl processor and found this book very helpful.  Another is PROCESS THIS by Jean Anderson. Amazing what one can do with a super processor. Keeping it handy on the countertop is a big part in really using a processor daily.

Hi Louise, I notice you've got Jamie's 30 minute meals on your shelf already - from memory he uses a food processor a fair bit in that, so maybe try revisiting that book?

Thanks Kerrim and j_h.  I haven't looked at the Jamie Oliver book for a long time (it is acutally one my 16 year old daughter bought for herself and I haven't really been interested in it).  Will check out the other recommendations.  I am enjoying the food processor and have made quite a few things.  I especially love how the vegetables cut up for salad keep their freshness and crispness as they are so 'cleanly' cut.
