Hello Jane & Fiona,

Just a quick note to let you know I just signed up as a Lifetime member.

I have been using EYB for almost a year now and I really consider this site to be a special place.

Not only has EYB given all my cookbooks a new lease on life, it truly has changed the way I cook and plan meals.  I don't hesitate to pick up a new or unusual item at the market because I know I can easily find a recipe here.  I can print off lists of recipes I want to try then head to the family room with a cup of tea to take a closer look at the recipes in my books.  I can pass that list over to family members or friends to have them help me narrow down the selections.  I can even print shopping lists!

EYB has also changed my cookbook buying habits.  Purchasing decisions are heavily influenced by whether books are indexed here or, are identified as "Index Soon".  I like reading other folks comments here about books before I buy them.  Unlike Amazon reviews, I trust the authenticity of comments here.  I hope more folks start adding their comments and, participating in Forums.

Finally, what I really like about this site is the fabulous, professional and member-focussed support you provide.  I can honestly say the level of responsiveness, personal attention and professionalism is, in my experience, unprecedented on the web and it really does make a difference.  Jane, special thanks to you for your unwavering commitment to providing patient assistance and information to members.

Thanks very much EYB, I'm happy to be a Lifetime member!

Sue

Thank you so much SueMmm for that post - I felt quite emotional reading it.  Fiona and I (and the rest of the team) put in a huge amount of hours because we really love what we are doing on EYB.  Feedback like that really makes it worthwhile.

Now we just need to get awareness of EYB to all other cookbook lovers around the world.  And it is starting to happen - I met a very important food journalist on Monday who loved the site and has promised to write about it in his publication, which will be huge for us.

There's nothing more exciting than seeing your hopes and dreams come to life and you all have a lot to be proud of!!

That's truly wonderful news regarding the journalist Jane...I'll keep my fingers crossed that he keeps his word! I'm always singing the praises of this site, especially when I'm online at other food sites like Chowhound. If someone is a cookbook lover, I always feel confident they'd want to sign up when they see what EYB can do.

Good thing our partners and family can't "un-member" us when they see how many new cookbooks we're buying though...please don't ever allow that option!! LOL!

I also mention the site to every cookbook lover I come in contact with. I am thrilled with your success with the site and the improvements you keep making. I want you guys to be around for a long, long time!

As a member of eDiets, we're always looking for new recipes and especially those of us who are allergic to certain ingredients. Your cataloging of main ingredients has been a real time and life-saver! Thanks for all you do!

Any chance that the lifetime membership option will be made available post-beta? I just found out about the site today and am bummed to find the option doesn't seem to be available anymore....

Sorry but the lifetime membership was just an offer we made while the site was in beta.  The early members put up with a lot of changes to the site and bugs while we were in development so the lifetime membership was a thank you for their tolerance,

Hopefully you will still think that the monthly or annual membership is a bargain - you will find you use your cookbooks so much more than you ever did before.
