Publishers Text

Illustrated with colour photographs (prepared dishes), and black-and-white photographs taken around the turn of the century, of old Watsons Bay. The author wanted to call her book "Alice Doyle Tells All". She's put on paper the kitchen secrets of a lifetime's fish cookery and along the way told Doyle's story -- a story that begins with her grandparents in a tiny shop on Watson's Bay promenade before the turn-of-the-century, where grandfather fished and grandmother cooked fish and chips for the tourists, and ends today with the Doyle's chain of seafood restaurants, famous for their superb locations on Sydney Harbour and their fabulous seafood.
