Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Banana-coconut baked oatmeal

    • brianna_lozwij on April 05, 2026

I love this recipe and have made it several times. Everyone I've made it for has asked for the recipe.

  • Not your Mom's egg casserole

    • julesamomof2 on October 06, 2019

I picked this recipe because I was searching for a make ahead brunch dish that didn't contain loads of cream and cheese. This one had plenty of whole milk (i used lactose free) and just a cup of cheese for a whole dish. I used Trader Joes chicken breakfast sausage and dairy free cheddar (personal preference) and it turned out great! Great brunch dish for a crowd.

  • Takeout cashew chicken

    • sloane_mgqknp on April 26, 2026

Can also make with baked tofu rather than chicken.

  • Chicken tinga tacos

    • jimandtammyfaye on May 22, 2022

Frequent meal for company. Start with 1/2 amount of pureed chipotles in adobo and add more to taste. Charring the tortillas over a gas flame takes them to the next level.

  • Quinoa chili

    • Mtougher on February 16, 2026

Made this for Superbowl. I add liquid smoke, but otherwise use the recipe exactly as is, and even meat lovers don't miss that there isn't any meat in this chili. So good! A go to crowd pleaser!

  • Thai-spiced rice bowls

    • gamulholland on April 14, 2025

This was, unfortunately, a fail. The broth was just unpleasant, and we wound up skipping this and doing something else for dinner. I’ve had better luck with other recipes from this book, so I think this is a rare underwhelming one.

  • Immunity smoothie

    • sloane_mgqknp on April 22, 2026

Great in the winter - my kids ask for it.

  • Bronzed Pavlovas

    • sloane_mgqknp on April 22, 2026

Has become our Easter go-to; no notes!

  • Yogurt shortcake

    • Mtougher on February 01, 2026

This is such an easy, delicious recipe! A staple dessert in my house?!

    • sloane_mgqknp on April 22, 2026

      Easy and a family favorite.
