    Navy Bean Tuscan Kale Soup, p 150, is excellent. Added 2 tbsp white wine vinegar at the end (idea from Lorna Sass’s Garlic Lover’s Soup from “Vegetarian Under Pressure”). Used a stick blender in the pot to get the consistency to chunky rather than separate out two cups. Used combo of cannellini and pinto beans as couldn’t find haricot: I think any would work.
