Publishers Text

The All Kids' Cookbook is intended to be more of an idea book than any kind of definitive work on Children's cuisine. My goals as cook of All Kids were two fold; to get kids to try as many different kinds of foods as possible, and to try to provide healthy alternatives to the sugar-laden, over-processed snack and fast foods that so many children are taught to love. The ideas in this book are geared toward reaching those goals, and our hope is that our success at the Day Care Center can be more than replicated at home. Because it is an idea book, the recipes are extremely, sometimes ridiculously simple. Hopefully you will be able to find ways to expand and vary all the recipes, so that the Cookbook will become larger and more personal as one becomes involved with it. - Tom Morton, cook at All Kids Day Care Center.
