It was the persistent, loving urging of our sons, their wives, and their families, that has given me the courage to attack the task of compiling this cook book. This book contains, foremost, the recipes that can be called "family favorites." Among them are recipes that I have constructed, simply because I liked them that way; some garnered from relatives and friends; others that are today's concoctions; a few from crisp, yellowed clippings; and a number that I make like Mother made, who made them like Grandma made them -- the never written up kind. I sincerely hope that "Mom's Family Favorites" will serve the purpose anticipated by those who sparked my interest in compiling it.
