Publishers Text

The Caribbean is a rich culinary melting pot, where influences from Europe, East Asia, and especially Africa meet a stunning array of native produce and seafood. Dorinda Hafner, author of A Taste of Africa and I Was Never Here and This Never Happened, captures the sizzling, seductive flavors of the Caribbean palate with this cookbook based on her public television cooking show, A Taste of the Caribbean. Over 100 of the most delicious traditional dishes of the islands are here, from Sorrel Shrimp in Garlic, Ginger, and Wine to Cuban Sweet Bread to classic PiƱa Coladas. Studded with dozens of beautiful color food photographs, and laced with the author's irrepressible wit, Dorinda's Taste of Caribbean is a difficult dish to resist.

Dorinda Hafner was born in Ghana, West Africa. She later moved to Australia and has worked as a storyteller, actress, dancer, choreographer, public speaker, writer, and television chef. Dorinda has written five books and is the host of a popular cooking show broadcast in 39 countries. Dorinda currently divides her time between Australia, Great Britain, and the United States.
