    Me again -- this time I used green bell peppers as well as bacon. I now consider this soup part of my regular repertoire.

    I'm sure this recipe is OK as written, but it was missing the crucial ingredient in my grandmother's Hungarian fish soup, so I added it: bacon. I recommend it highly.
