    This is absolutely delicious and makes a perfectly sufficient dinner main course. I added half a red jalapeño for a bit of almost undetectable heat.

    I think this version of shakshouka is absolutely delicious and it has been a hit with friends and family. The meat is an optional ingredient (and I have used beef mince when I didn't have lamb) but I think it adds an extra dimension, especially if you are serving this as the main meal of the day. It only needs some bread to eat with it, and perhaps a salad.
