Indian-spiced roast chicken with warm carrot and radish salad from The CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet: Recipes on a Budget by Manny Noakes

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Can substitute a hot curry powder for the recipe's garam masala mix. Begin recipe day ahead.

The chicken was spicy enough for us, but maybe not the right recipe if you like it very hot. This time I didn't make the carrot salad and instead I served it with the rice and the cucumber raita - one of the best I have eaten so far. The Afghan bread (bought) was also good. Lovely dinner.
