Almond milk from Dr Libby's Real Food Chef by Libby Weaver and Cynthia Louise

  • almonds

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

Oh how I love this! I tried to make this in my Kitchen Aid Blender- didn't really do the job as I had hoped. I then decided to purchase a Vitamix. Amazing machine. Blended thoroughly in less than 40 seconds. I strain the milk and keep the pulp. Can use to make friands etc. The raw almonds need soaking for a good 8-12 hrs before hand. I keep extra soaked almonds stored in my freezer and then they are ready to make up my next batch of almond milk. My sons have noticed the difference between homemade almond milk and the cartoned products in the supermarket. This is far superior. Once a few bottles of this nut milk are made up you can go on to make the Almond Date Shake.
