Fried egg and garlicky greens biscuit sandwiches from The Homemade Flour Cookbook: The Home Cook's Guide to Milling Nutritious Flours and Creating Delicious Recipes with Every Grain, Legume, Nut, and Seed from A-Z by Erin Alderson

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

I'm not certain what went wrong, but the biscuits barely rose and at 14 minutes in my oven were over-baked. Too thin and crisp to split apart for a sandwich (they were a cross between a cracker and a biscuit), I just served them on the side of the mound of sauteed spinach with fried egg on top. The flavour was fine - the whole wheat was very pronounced - but could have used extra salt. I did not mill my own flour, and used ingredient weights and metric volumes provided.
