Can substitute butter lettuce for romaine lettuce, and green beans for runner beans.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Used green beans instead of runner beans as suggested, and also substituted chile flakes for fresh Fresno chiles since I didn't have any, but still wanted some spice. A great use for green beans and fairy tale eggplants from our CSA box and since there was pork involved, my husband actually ate the aforementioned vegetables (including leftovers!) Added the cilantro in at the very end of cooking instead of tossing it with the lettuce. Also, my pan was big enough to cook all the pork at once instead of in two batches and I included the oil in the marinade instead of doling it out throughout the various steps of the recipes which worked great and streamlined things a bit.
