    I've made this soup a number of times over the past 6 years and we really enjoy it -- it has nice Asian flavors. I do make a few small changes: I increase the red curry paste to 2 tsps, increase the minced ginger to 2 TBS, add a tsp of fish sauce, and chop, rather than slice, the cabbage (it's easier to eat). It's very simple and quick to prepare, especially if you use pre-cooked, frozen shrimp.
