Mardi Gras king cake from King Arthur Flour

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Can substitute lemon oil or grated lemon rind for Fiori di Sicilia.

Made this for my husband to take to work for the office Mardi Gras luncheon. The dough is easy to put together and roll out. But it is extremely stretchy and transferring it from the countertop to the sheet pan was a bit of a disaster. The cream cheese filling leaked out in places and I really thought I had made a mess out of it. However, in the oven the cream cheese filling seemed to get absorbed into the dough and none leaked onto the sheet pan. I did double the amount of nutmeg in the dough and used the zest of a whole lemon instead of the fiori di Sicilia. The cake had a pleasant crumb and a nice taste of cream cheese. However I was expecting a tunnel of cream cheese filling and not for it to disappear into the dough. Not sure if this is what was supposed to happen. I slightly overbaked mine by following the instructions, probably due to high altitude. High Altitude changes (6200 ft.): cut yeast back by 1/4 tsp and used 3 whole eggs (and 5 minutes less baking time).
