    I don’t make this comment lightly, as I adore Annabel’s recipes usually, but this was truly horrible. I cut the onion very finely (based on @mjrr’s note), but they’re still raw. The wine hasn’t cooked off at all. It tastes like cornflour. DO NOT MAKE!

    Really not sure about throwing everything in to the slow cooker and not cooking down the onions and other vegetables first. The awful smell of oxidised onions throughout the house as it cooked for eight hours! Next time I'll soffrito the vegetables first for flavour.
