Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    This is a good recipe. I have made it for years using milk-and-vinegar as a substitute for the buttermilk, which made the dough extra -wet and difficult to roll up without a scraper. Today I used real buttermilk. I will not use the milk substitute again, as the dough came together much more easily today. I usually only end up using half the icing.
