    Very nice, easy, pickled onion recipe. I really like the "put everything in a jar and shake it" technique.

    Makes for a very good "quickle pickle" too, if the vinegar, salt, sugar and peppercorns are first brought to a boil, then taken off heat as the onions are added. A steep of 30 minutes or so gives bright pink onions that last very well refrigerated.
