    I’m going to say that the peach syrup is the make-or-break with this drink recipe. I have top shelf bourbon, so it must have been the peach syrup, which was not very sweet. I had to doctor it quite a bit and add some soda, but I couldn’t seem to push it past ‘just ok’

    This is the perfect hot summer afternoon sipping drink. I used peach syrup from a jar of home-canned peaches but found just the peach syrup and bourbon a bit sweet and heavy for me so I added a bit of soda water and loved it. My daughter makes this too and adds a few peach bitters as well as the soda. I will try adding the peach bitters next time.
