    I do exactly what the author says - cook a large pot of toor dal and freeze in ziplock bags in portions perfect for sambar or dal. It makes dinner so easy. NOTE THAT THIS recipe and the next one are not stand-alone recipes, but ones to precook and use as part of other recipes (see the header notes.)
