    My corned beef was 2.5 " thick at the thick end, so I cooked the meat for 80 minutes and it was perfect. However, my cabbage was not particularly big and I cut it in 8 wedges as instructed and cooked for 3 minutes in 2 cups of liquid, but they were above the liquid level, they were perfectly fine but I would have like mine to be a tad softer, the potatoes and carrots were well cooked.
