Italian white bean and tuna salad with capers from Kitchen Matters: More Than 100 Recipes and Tips to Transform the Way You Cook and Eat--Wholesome, Nourishing, Unforgettable (page 157) by Pamela Salzman

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

This recipe needs some tweaking. The salad dressing was interesting as written, but I think it might be better with lemon instead of wwvinegar. Also, I reduced the amount of salt to 1/8 t. grey salt. The salad itself was bland, bland, bland! Next time, sauté the white beans in olive oil, add a smashed garlic clove, sliced shallot, thyme rosemary, and a few of the basil stems. Season with s and p. For the tuna, do not drain the oil in the can or use freshly poached tuna.
