    My tweaks: - I let the eggs come up to room temperature with the butter. - When I mixed the dry ingredients, I added 1 tsp of cinnamon to help bring out the flavor of the cherries. - I used espresso powder instead of the ground coffee and used frozen sweet cherries. Instead of layering the cherries on top, I coated them in a little flour and folded them into the batter.
