    Can substitute garam masala or curry powder for ras el hanout. See the recipe for homemade ras el hanout spice mix.

    I used garam masala as my spice blend and was very happy with that choice. A great side to take to a friends' potluck party, as it's recommended to serve at room temperature. Lovely blend of slightly sweet and savory and filled with loads of greens.
