Spicy blue cheese dip with endive spears from The Home Cook: Recipes to Know by Heart (page 42) by Alex Guarnaschelli

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I just made another batch of this dip/dressing. This is my go-to recipe for blue cheese veggie dip and salad dressing (I add a bit more sour cream or yogurt for a dressing). I love the punch of the lemon juice and the flavor added by the Worcestershire and Tabasco--I buy a good quality block of blue cheese and crumble it, and the acid and heat amp up the funky flavor of the blue cheese.

It is good. Like a thicker, spicy blue cheese dressing. I was worried the yogurt would be too predominant; but it wasn't the case. If I try again, I may make w/ low-fat sour cream instead of greek yogurt. Less fat & will taste just as good.

    Quite good!
