Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    This was very delicious and easy to make. I skipped the bacon topping but the white cheddar topping and fresh thyme really finishes it off. I think next time I would blend the soup a bit to thicken it instead of using the flour as a thicken agent or maybe adding some mashed white beans. As per usual with Joanna's recipes this makes a lot of servings! Plenty to feed a crowd but also plenty for leftovers for the next couple of days for lunch. I will definitely make this again.
