    These cookies were so easy to make and really added some pizzazz to my Christmas cookie assortment this year. The cookies have a nice tender, slightly chewy texture and the combination of chocolate and peppermint can’t be beat. I discovered that crushing the candy canes was super easy when I used my mortar and pestle instead of using the meat tenderizer and a ziplock bag.
