Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    The winning part of this was the eggplant! I've also made it with shaved zucchini slices that turned out okay (eggplant has a better texture and absorption of the hoisin sauce). The rest of the recipe I would make lots of modifications. I tend to make my own pickles for Vietnamese foods in advance (Andrea Nguyen has some great recipes). Although this had a quick pickle included I found my favorite pickles were preferred - along with including lots of fresh herbs. The turkey meatball was easy to make but came out dry - we were wowed by the eggplant...
